Is There a Counter Narrative in the Show?
The counter narrative in the show, this lie that was articulated and refined in 1965 and then inherited and just passed down over the years until now. A friend from high school who ran into a buddy from his from Selma this past weekend mentioned the show to him. He said, I don't care what they say, that man was killed on the way to Birmingham. And so it confirmed something to those people who had a certain worldview in this reality that had happened. The conspiracy theories sort of mapped out a reality they could believe in that met their worldview,. That adhere to the worldview and that had just enough basis in reality to be true.
