i think progress is a very important idea. It's a new one, by the way. We all have the idea that progress has been around since human beings were painting pictures and in caves or something like that. But in point of fact, progress has been extremely slow and virtually imperceptible from most of the history of humanity. I mean, te i tool that man used was the achulian hand axe.
