The FBI's Role in the Hoover Era
How do you get people to a point where they can hear the story you're telling them? I think it's something we struggle with now even more you know than ever because of just all of the noise. The FBI is basically as you guys describe the story the only significant law enforcement check on the lawlessness of the local state infrastructure and local county and city infrastructures of violence. It doesn't really do the job in any kind of ultimate sense either because it doesn't want to or because it has important jurisdictional barriers or both.
