Is There an Upper Limit for T Cells?

The cells had high expression of markers that are usually associated with senescence or with terminal differentiation. They did have accumulation of what are known as kind of usually mentioned as exhaustion markers such as PD1, TIM3,. But this did not seem to prevent the cells from proliferating and surviving all this long when they looked into production of cytokines. This was a very cool experiment that showed there doesn't seem to be an upper limit under the right conditions.
