The Drowning Summer

I liked the idea of making the bigger machinations something that was a little more manageable, maybe something that the main characters actually had some control over. And it's not really that hard to do, especially in a world where we kind of have like all this technology and all this power at our finger tips, but were kind of helpless in the face of like, bigger machinations. The drowning summer takes place in an idyllic long island town. I very specifically was very close with my grandmother, who passed away while i was initially writing the proposal for this book is dedicated to her.
