The Importance of Diversification
Stocks will occasionally hand you a loss in the 30% range, somewhere 20 to 40%. That's not uncommon for once every now and then to get that kind of loss in stocks. And I think somehow people think, well, it's just what we're supposed to do. It's like not wishing for something that could be better. What I always say is it's diversification when you need it. A seat belt that works every day except when you have a wreck.
