How Long Do These Light Pulses Last?

Pulses can last 50 to a few hundred pico seconds, depending on what gases you put in there. If you put zenon in there, for example, you get longer pulses. Some of these theories can be simply extrapolated to sulphuric acid, and other ones not. It's also dependent on the temperature. Colder water gives like a hundred times brighter pulses than warmer water.
