Trend following is reactive. All of the issues they were talking about in that entire episode, not relevant to a trend following trader. Let me continue with another example. A friend of mine forwards to me his blog post, this young guy's blog post. He was talking about how he made the decision to invest in Facebook. His friend writes him an email and says, oh, man, I wish you asked me this a few months ago. "I put all my stock into Facebook at $49.50, and now it's close to $70. I made more than $1 million"
