I don't know whether it's just me sometimes that just imagine all the wartime people as already old. It was something that I write about right at the start of the book because it was, it was just once like that. And I think films these days tend to make much more of the youth. But from what I remember of,. you know, all the war films I watched obsessively as a kid, a lot of those actors were a bit older than they should have been.
