The Circumhorizontal Arc and the Alaskan Earthquake

In 2008, a catastrophic earthquake hit the Chinese province of Sichuan. The day before the earthquake, satellites in Taiwan noted an unexplained 50% drop in the energy in the ionosphere above the province. Then, just 30 minutes before the earthquake hit, strange lights appeared in the sky above China. There's no scientific connection between Circumhorizontal Arcs and earthquakes.
