The Tenth Man Rule or Woman Rule

If a vote was unanimous against a positive outcome, one member would act as if it was absolutely going to happen and try to prevent it. If everybody's unanimous, somebody in the group has to start asking the hard question. The tenth man or woman should be like, well, what's not going smoothly? Nothing ever goes smoothly, so why didt we just say it's going smooth? And where we're basing our management decisions on wishful thinking, we're in big trouble.
