The Role of Government in the Age of AI
In the tech space specifically which is notoriously averse to regulation and has the mantra move fast and break things applying safety culture to this environment. Do you have any idea what that might look like? Good point. I mean the past history was that technology companies were opposed to regulation and they believe that regulation by government agencies would interfere with innovation. But there's also a role for insurance companies accounting firms consulting firms and non-governmental agencies, professional societies,. There's a whole set of possibilities here that could do a great deal to improve the reliability, safety and trustworthiness of the age AI based systems.
