Is There a Spindle Chatter Control?
Academic research is looking at machines that can tell when they're chattering and resist the chatter by exerting a force in a different direction. Similar ideas we like spindles have. You can have active chatter control in the spindle itself, soit it notices the tool is deflecting, it can kind of add an extra force the other way. I i wish there was more of that. Maybe there is. And i just don't know about it, but it seems like that should be standard everywhere. But there's not. None of those are expensive censors. It's expensive or ind and then it should be a relatively easy thing.
