Contemporary Drakin and Disidentification
In the final chapter, we arrive at contemporary drakinging and youl lookt at through the lans of disidentification. M monos defines dis identification as creating new meaning out of identity by rethinking the abjection within a marginalized identity. So identification is, if you're walking down the street and you're like, o i don't like that term, but i know that that's supposed to be referring to me because i look kind of queer. You identify yourself with that term. Counter identification is maybe you turn around and you say to the cop, like, i'm gay and i'm proud. How dare you use this term?
