The Backlash to the ESG Backlash

Florida Governor Rhonda Santis announced a series of proposals to crack down on the use of what is known as environmental social and governance criteria in deciding how to invest state and local funds. Commonly referred to ESG, it is the favoring of investment choices that emphasize social and environmental responsibility alongside profits. The practice has come under fire for many Republicans who say it's just woke thinking dominating corporate boardrooms. At least 49 anti ESG bills have been introduced across the country this year.
