Are there any individual figures that you think are worth highlighting in the year 1500? It's difficult, it depends again what the focus of your historical inquiry is. If you're working at a certain level of imperial power, then yeah, you're looking at those key players and rivalries which are personal between those emperors. But I think the fine grained history that many of us want to also do to really bring the period alive would identify lesser known figures who are also driving changes in science or art.
