The Cost of Fishing to Business
The Cybersecurity Workforce globally is at an all-time high with 4.7 million professionals in the field, but data show that 3.4 million more workers are needed to be effective. 70% of organizations report spending 16 to 60 minutes on each fishing email from discovery of the email to removal. A composite IT and security professional was found by the research to cost $136,000 in salary and benefits; average time spent on a fishing email is 27.5 minutes. 61% of cyber professional surveyed are concerned primarily with risks in newer technologies.
