Is the Fed Buying 50 % of All Mortgages in Europe?
Central bank balance sheets are like a powerful predictor of what's going to happen with rates. The fed owns, i think the fets balnce sheet is, i think, 36 % of g p. The bank of japan's balance sheet is a hundred and 28 % of g d p. So if you think the fed has already gone to extremes, you ain't seen nothing yet. And so i do think that is a cautionary tale in terms of thinking that fiot currencies are going to be nothing.
