Rebecca Garde's Report to the Task Force on Ridgeway
Carol's survivor's guilt is a normal response to such a traumatic experience. It's reported in war veterans, first responders, even cancer survivors. I can only imagine that Rebecca Garde experienced something similar as she began to realize that she has probably escaped the Green River Killer. By 1984, two years after Ridgeway attacked her, there have been dozens more victims and huge media coverage.
