Bishop Rolando Alvarez is in prison because he stayed back there and faced Ortega through his non-violence resistance. I think that dictators released political prisoners, not because they want to, but because they don't have any other option. It's very hard for him to justify in front of his supporters that we are criminals who fought against Nicaragua and sovereignty.
