Is This Really Going to Change Afghanistan?
There was initially a fair bit of ambivalence or sort of questions floating around about, well, how much is this actually going to change the state of play in Afghanistan? So I think certainly amongst the PDPA supporters, there was certainly a lot of excitement. But for other Afghan political activists who were familiar with the PDPA's ideas and political leanings,I think there was Certainly a degree of both skepticism and concern as to what the PDPA actually wanted to do within the country.
