Are We Making Self-Ruged Men Who Rule Well?
When you obey all of the scriptures, what will result is that you will be hated by a whole lot of people pretty regularly. And so we say that we're not just making self-ruled men to rule well, but who will rule well and actually win the world. None of us are great; none of our names are probably going to be remembered beyond 50 years after we die. But what we build now will transcend our own existence. That's the goal and that's the optimistic future for the church.
