Luton's Golden Era
Luton were relegated from the top flight in 1960. They climbed back out in 68 with a team that included future Arsenal manager Bruce Re up. By 1974 they tasted the top flight once more - if only briefly. It was when Luton were promoted to the 1st Division in 1982 and, crucially, stayed up on the final day of the season in 1983 with David Pleats iconic jig. That's it. The club's golden era began. At least on the pitch. In the 80s we finished 7th in the 1stDivision. We were regularly playing these top clubs. And obviously 1988 Cup final, sorry I say Cup final because he has to say League Cup
