Donald's Fifth Statement in John's Murder Trial - It Hurts the State's Argument That John Was the Murderer
Clinton fought maryland courts on this for years, and in 19 61, he won. The court of appeals unanimously ruled that the state had a duty to provide donald's murder confession to john's defence team before the trial. By not sharing critical evidence with the defence, the prosecution had violated john's constitutional right to due process. But John couldn't just walk out of prison a free man after the maryland court of appeals ruin. And there was no guarantee he wouldn't end up right where he started, on death row, awaiting execution.
