We don't know if Gilgamesh found peace, but to me it seems like he accepted death for the first time since Lane and Kidu'd arrest,. He resumed being a king to his people, got married, and had a family. One day, Gilgamesh saw the tablets that someone had carved, and tears began to wall up in his eyes.
