The Importance of Underground Storage in American Houses
The bottom floor of the house is effectively in the ground. We don't have those in Australia. The only person that would have a cellar would be some crazy millionaire who's got like some way to put their wine in their house or something. But yeah, I would say in California, it's not common. People have addicts. So up top to store things. Sometimes you have those, but it's very old houses that have the kind of, what would you call it, like an arrow shaped roof.
