UI design is very much like fashion. The more you design something the faster it will lose its feeling of being new or current. It's about timelessness, what do you say? Yes. Time, half timelessness and the other half not being distracted with what's going on around the content that you're trying to interact with whether it's a file or a foot or an email. We found that that works out really nicely and it's easier to maintain over the long term too.
