verses 21 through 32 tell the story of saihan king of the Amorites and then 33 through the end of the chapter is the story of the aug the king of bachan. This was an extremely important event for the israelites as a sign that just as they conquered this city now they're getting ready to conquer the cities that are on the other side of the jordan so one way or another they've got it there's no going around it in other words they have to they have to conquer it and that's what they do.
