The Sensory Experiences of Antiquity
There is a huge amount of evidence that we can use to help build a picture of what the multisensory experiences might have been now. But i would certainly not em su st in any way that what we think would be the same as what would be perceived and understood in antiquity. Every individual perceives things sensorily in a very, very different way. So i certainly couldn't say what you know that we can assume parallel s of acceptance and disgust to be similar between us and antiquity. Perhaps our modern judgments and our modern understandings of the senses might be quite different.
