Saving Brits Coin to Be Banned Over Bank Run Fears

Officials fear a run on the high street banks according to a consultation paper that suggests a new form of money could be introduced by 2030. Governor Andrew Bailey and Chancellor Jeremy Hunt revealed a road map for creating a new bank digital currency dubbed Britcoin in the press. People are now opting out of state money using money that has rules without rulers with the monetary policy instead in stone, he says.
