What Is Multimodality?

I was trying to get people thinking about some of the concepts in this book already. Like, hey, we kind of need a spectrum. We need to share a shared language for talking about when we use different types of multimodality and what they are. But people were running so fast they weren't ready for that. It's very hard for us to step back and do a systems design person to take on all of this.
