The Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool
This year's Eurovision Song Contest is being held in Liverpool on behalf of last year's winners, Ukraine. The Russian invasion made it impossible to host in Kiev or Lviv. President Zelensky said this week that he might have preferred the final to be held closer to home - ideally in a country bordering Ukraine. Daniel Rosney has been travelling across Europe over the past six months in the buildup to the event. Tovochi were chosen, a vocal duo Andrew and Jeffrey who met at medical school. Inspired by the resilience of those defending Mario Paul against Russia's invasion, they wrote an uptempo song called Heart of Steel.
