This is a kind of answer to my first book, atlantic automobilism. It's also the first of two er volumes, which together i would call a kind of world history of car culture. So this book more or less analyzes the process that of which in which the carculture is transferred from a purely westernized form into a global form. I ten call pacific because of the shift in emphasis between the western and non-Western perspective on oncar.
