Building on Battlefields

We've had lots of problems with people trying to build on battlefields, haven't we? Particularly bosworth and sewkesbury. Lots of planning applications going in for people wanting to build electric car test track at bosworth. Do you think things like that are useful, because they will do archaeology as part of what they're doing? Or is losing that piece of battlefield worse than having a bit of a survey done while they build on it? That's a very difficult question, really, isn't it?
