The preacher revivalist a Billy Graham type in our popular mind and so we have absolutely forgotten him but I think that again I grew with the hybrid thesis had there been no great awakening led by a dude with field there would have been no American Revolution well you couldn't have Thomas pain writing common sense if they hadn't heard all of that common sense from the pulpit. Glenn: Preachers didn't shy away from events of the day because they were framing it not as politics it was framed as these are your rights and you need to understand that they come from God and you better stand up for him.
