Lesson Two Goboi

Gaboi's dream of becoming a doctor was turned upside down when war broke out in 19 90. She and her family fled to gana, where they became refugees in grim conditions. Her relationship with daniel deteriorated as he beat her and forced her into sex. Gaboi persevered through being a refugee an abuse victim to eventually start working to establish peace. While in school, she volunteered at the trama healing and reconciliation programme which helped villagers who'd suffered in the war. It later became a paid job - though it wasn't as a doctor like she imagined.
