The Importance of Randomized Controlled Trials
The Iris trial, which got immagnib approved for chronic myelogous leukemia, was unethical. Patients literally begged to be moved onto the immagnib arm. And by the way, we know now that with a matinev and second and third generation inhibitors, these patients now have a near normal life expectancy. I don't think we should ever do that to patients again.
