Rit so keev, i would say, because of its strategic location in trade, and because it became the capital of christianity. The monsignor prince held the throne of kav even though a prince became quite undermined in the twelvte century. This is the place where the chronicle of the povis reminita is written. So most of the great ures that are built in rus are built in centres such as kav and ten novgrod. And i think because the head of the church, the connection with the greeks, was in cav, this becomes the most important location.
