The Last Years of King's Life
In the last years of his life, King felt like he wasn't going to live long. He became depressed many people have said, and he certainly suffered from anxiety. And there were constant death threats. It was not irrational for him to think that he might be murdered, assassinated, that he might die prematurely. But at the same time, he felt like he was becoming less popular, less effective on things like war and income inequality.
