Everton and Southampton in the Premier League
There were 10,000 empty seats at St Mary's for Manchester City in the League Cup. That tells us nothing overall than the fact that Southampton is a hockey club. The Everton owner spoke out this week in response to an open letter from Everton fans forum where they expressed their concerns about the direction of the club. As far as I can see, Everton fans, I don't think they're under any illusions of Frank Lamppard as manager. They need something. A leak up when could galvanize them perhaps.
