Sensience or Consciousness?
The distinction between sentience and consciousness is really important to understand your whole thesis. I'm using sentient in this rather more high-foluting way of being something there is like to be the animal who is sentient. My reason for making the distinction where I did is partly of course to do my early work on blind side. Many animals can see in the sense that they have blind side but very few animals probably see in thesense that we do with the accompanying sensation.
