What's Wales Like in the Middle Ages?
Wales looks as much like anything, like a chequer board in the early middle ages. The idea of wales as one nation is really something that comes about hundreds of years after the romans have departed. So if we go round s in a clockwise direction, if we start in snodonia in the northwest, the kingdom of gueneth emerges. If we move to about two o'clock whon the clock, we get to the kingdom of pawes. And then in the southeast, we have a morganog and in the southwest we have te haybarth. Those are the four principal kingdoms that get rolling by the what we would call the earlier dark middle
