Mindfulness Meditation - How to Slow the Trama Reaction

She said it was as if her lung ailment had taken over her body and hefelt extremely helpless. I explained to her that her trama reaction was not uncommon, as mindfulness in meditation can sometimes open up internal emotional doors you thought were closed or didn't even know existed. So at any time during a meditation session you begin to feel a bit overwhelmed, emotionally, physically or mentally, please just stop what you're doing. Allow yourself to focus on your breath, if that's appropriate for you, or perhaps focus on the contact your body is making on the surface beneath you. Whatever allows you to comfortably recalibrate. And you can always return back to the practice when you're ready
