i was barely winning votes at the scottish labor party conference. And i argued that, ell, if you cannot have devolution within the state, then you need no devolved within the party. So what happened for me? I sort of drifted away. Wasn't much point being active in the labour party. Then with the rac war an stuff, it just became all just very tarnished and something i didn't want to be associated with. so my membership lapsed. But i know it was no longer a labour actast, but i was still quite on the left. Imean iwasin the boards of various journals and stuffing,. watched the political programmes,
