How Did You Become a History Professor?
In the 1980s, it was impossible to get a job as an historian. So i saved my capacity for history by writing first about the history of the steel industry in australia. And much of what i taught when i was teaching in business, i would use historical examples. But i was fortunate to be shifted into a history department, which is where i have been for the last ten years.
