The daughter of our pastor passed away and she was next in line. This woman's son married this woman and they moved into a house all together. The difference with this situation was that the woman who called me, having been raised in the group, did truly believe that the spiritual baton had been passed from the leader to her daughter-in-law. And my client was just too afraid to stand up to her because what if it was true she didn't want God to be upset with her? Fear is fear.
