i started noticing this three step process, and i write about it in the unwitting anxiety book. If we don't know how our minds work, we can't possibly work with them. The first step is being able to map our own habit loops. Anybody can do that. They can pay attention when they're doing the behavior. And second step is a little more involved, but it's a critical piece of which is really tapping into this reward system in our brain. So my lob just id a study with our eat right now ab where we had people who were over eating. It only takes ten to 15 times of somebody really paying attention as over eat for that reward value to drop below
