The Life of King Alfred

Oca, s asse was a ninth century welsh member of the church. He wrote the life of king alfred, which is the earliest surviving biography we have of an english king. Most of what we know about assa comes from the information that he tells us in this text. It starts off by it addresses alfred himself, and then it moves on to his childhood. We get a real sense of him as some one who is very keen on education and learning.
