Under tort law, medical doctors are held to the degree of care and skill of an average, qualified practitioner under a national standard. A professional is essentially some one with specialized training and knowledge in a particular field. Professional must act with the same knowledge and skill as an average member of that profession participating in a similar community. So let's dive into an example.
