A Christmas Feast in the Mediaeval Era
In stirling in 15 94, guests at the christening feast of prince henry were treated to a 24 foot long model ship. The ship was surrounded by women dressed as sirens and staffed with burly silk clad sailors. By the sixteenth century, usually called the banqueting course, this last course would have been followed by an array of food for the poor.
